Good snow workshops & classes sell out weeks before the season starts and the great ones go first. Below: the 15 to book early, what each includes and how they differ.
Meet PDS Snowsport at the Sunnegga station for a three-hour private lesson in Zermatt. Your instructor adapts the session to your level, from first turns to blue-run technique. Lessons are available in English, Russian, Italian, French, and Spanish.

Travel from central Seoul to Yongpyong Ski Resort in PyeongChang, home of the 2018 Winter Olympics alpine events. Choose shuttle-only sightseeing, a beginner package with gear and a 30-minute lesson, or a full package with ski suit, two-hour lesson, and lift access. Guides such as Alex and Gogo can help with rentals and basic ski needs.

Start near Tromsø city centre and ride about 10 minutes to a snowy trail for a three-hour beginner lesson. Instructors such as Thomas, Heli, Joana, and Lukas teach falling, standing, gliding, climbing, and stopping. Ski gear, transport, hot tea, and lefse are included.

Halfway through the activity, we stopped for some Solbærtee (blackcurrant tea) which was absolutely delicious. Meet at the EXTRE-NIEVE shop, arrive an hour early for equipment fitting, then join a Spanish-speaking group lesson limited to 10 people. You get two hours with an instructor and keep the ski or snowboard gear for the rest of the day. A ski pass and snow clothing cost extra.

Meet your qualified Evolution Ski School instructor at Vispastrasse 32 for three hours of private coaching in Zermatt. You may work with instructors such as Maya, Vita, David, or Vebjørn, with guidance shaped to your level, from first turns to stronger piste technique. Equipment and the CHF85 lift pass are extra.

Meet Ride Shiga in Shiga Kogen for a private four-hour ski or snowboard lesson led by an instructor matched to your level and goals. You can work on first turns, carving, race technique, freestyle, freeride, or moguls. Equipment, clothing, lift pass, and lunch cost extra.

Meet your guide at Outdoor Interlaken, collect your board and helmet, then spend 2.5 hours learning on Grindelwald’s Bodmi beginner slopes. Small groups of up to eight use magic carpets and drag lifts while taking in the Eiger North Face. Instructors may include Adrien or Owen.
